John King USA History

John King was originally founded in Northern England during the depression years. In those times, the company was the foremost manufacturer of castings and cast chains for the coal and materials handling industry. For almost 100 years, John King has been the example of a manufacturer of the highest quality chains.

The company has expanded its capabilities to include more than just cast chains in the last few decades. Today, John King offers the widest variety of chains to fit almost any application. The company has excelled through the constant development of new markets and new product lines, to its enviable position today as a true worldwide supplier of premium quality conveyor and power transmission chains.

In 2004, John King USA was opened in East Peoria, IL by President and CEO Christopher J. Robinson. This location services the Unites States, Canada and Mexico. The plant keeps in stock many of the popular chains used today such as: engineered steel, forged link, welded steel, ANSI roller and transport chains to name a few. This location also fabricates their own chain, chain attachments and sprockets in house. In addition to this, John King USA inspects and quality control tests each chain, sprocket, and attachment that we manufacture. In 2016, the company saw the addition of a robotic welder to the facility. This allows John King USA to produce 100% accurate welds.

John King USA is dedicated to its position as a world-leader in implementing the newest technology available in the conveying industry.
